Performance requirements of electric heat pipe:

1. Temperature rise time: Under test voltage, the time from ambient temperature to test temperature should not be more than 15 minutes.

2. Rated power deviation: Under sufficient heating conditions, the deviation of rated power of components shall not exceed the following specified range.

(1) For components whose rated power is less than or equal to 100W, it is (+10%).

(2) For components with rated power greater than 100W, the values of + 5%-10% or 10W are larger.

3. Leakage current: Leakage current in cold state and after water pressure and seal test should not exceed 0.5mA. Hot leakage current in constant temperature heating platform manufacturer should not exceed the calculated value in formula, but the maximum should not exceed 5mA.

When multiple components are connected in series to the power supply, leakage current test should be carried out with these components as a whole.

The explosion of the electric heat pipe is caused by the explosion of the electric heat pipe when it is energized, accompanied by a sound of explosion. Many accidents occur every year throughout the country, which have caused many eye injuries.

There are two reasons for the explosion of the electric heat pipe. One is that the magnesia powder (magnesia), as the conducting medium, is damped, and the water is rapidly converted into steam at high temperature during the electrification, resulting in high pressure, thus causing the explosion. Second, as a conductive medium, magnesia powder is mixed with quartz sand (sio2). The volume of quartz sand expands rapidly at high temperature, which results in explosion.

So how can we identify the cause of the explosion? This can be identified by the following methods:

1. Magnesium powder test to identify the presence of quartz. This is a very good test, can be used to identify the presence of silicon (si) elements by reagent method, quality supervision can be achieved everywhere.

2. The electric heat pipe that has already been made can be dried out of the water in the pipe by electric heating furnace or professional oven. The temperature should exceed 2000c. Because the magnesia powder in the finished electric heat pipe is dense, there is almost no void, and the space at both ends of the tube is relatively small, water vapor is not easy to come out, so it is necessary to heat the tube at high temperature for at least 3 hours before water can be driven out, and then cooling for 30 minutes to conduct conductive experiments. At this time, if there is no further explosion, it means that the explosion is caused by the moisture of magnesium powder.
